Depending on the product, we either make it entirely ourselves or process and personalise it in our own workshop.

We combine our own production, technical processing and personalisation. This allows us to choose materials and techniques for each product and carry out much of the work ourselves.

The Utrecht designs, product finishing and personalisation together form the core of Domstad Cadeaus.

No. Domstad Cadeaus is an independent brand.

Our products are inspired by Utrecht, the Dom Tower and the character of the city, but they are not official merchandise of the Municipality of Utrecht, the Dom Tower or other organisations.

Domstad Cadeaus is a trade name of Inspired by Passion.

Inspired by Passion focuses on home decor and design products. Domstad Cadeaus focuses on Utrecht gifts, Dom Tower decor, personalisation and local gift items.

We work with several 3D printers of different sizes and with different production capabilities. We also use CO2 lasers, diode lasers and infrared lasers.

For wood and other sheet materials, we use equipment including saws and sanders, and CNC or milling where appropriate. We use plotters to make stencils and templates for printing and other applications.

After machining, manual assembly, inspection and finishing follow where needed.

We choose the 3D-printing material based on the product and its intended use. In the current Domstad range we use materials including PETG and ASA.

For the Dom Tower series, we use PETG for indoor versions and ASA for versions intended for outdoor use. The product page states which material is used for the selected version.

That depends on the material and the specific version. Not every 3D print is automatically suitable for outdoor use.

For products with a dedicated outdoor version, we state this on the product page. If in doubt, always choose the version explicitly intended for outdoor use.

No. A 3D print is built up layer by layer, so fine print lines or small production marks can be visible.

That is part of the production process. We inspect products before shipping to ensure a neat and appropriate finish.

Yes. In our workshop we use CO2, diode and infrared lasers. Which laser we use depends on the material, size and desired result.

We use them to engrave, mark or cut wood, suitable plastics, faux leather and other suitable materials for our products and personalisation.

Depending on the product, we saw, sand, engrave, cut or mill the material. We then finish the product according to that product's specific version.

Because wood is a natural material, grain, colour and engraving can vary slightly from one item to another.

Yes. The glassware we offer is processed by us. Depending on the design, we use the technique that best suits the product.

For printing and decorative applications, we can also work with plotter-cut stencils and templates.

Many products are made or individually processed by us. Small differences can therefore occur in wood grain, engraving, print lines, colour, positioning or hand finishing.

These differences are normal within the making process and do not change the function of the product.

Always follow the care information on the product page, because material and finish vary by product.

If in doubt, do not use harsh cleaning products or scouring pads. Wood, glass, metal and 3D-printed products can require different care.

Yes. For suitable products, you can have a name, date, short text, photo, company name or simple logo added, for example.

Yes. We can assess whether your own idea is technically and visually suitable for the chosen material and format.

Yes. For suitable products, we can make or personalise larger quantities for companies, employees, events and business relations.

For larger quantities, we agree the options, price and production time in advance.

Production time varies by product and version, so the current production time is stated with the product itself.

Standard products have a 14-day return period after receipt, subject to the conditions in our returns policy.

Personalised products are excluded from returns when they have been made to your specifications. Always check the returns policy for the full conditions.

Contact us as soon as possible and include clear photos of the product, the packaging and the damage. We can then assess what happened and which solution is appropriate.
